San Angelo Events in November, 2024

1. En Plein Air Texas - Running until November 3, this nationally recognized art event showcases stunning landscape paintings created in the open air around San Angelo and West Texas. Visitors can enjoy art shows, auctions, and the work of talented plein air artists (San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts).

3. 'PASAbilities!' Art Show & Sale - Running November 8 & 9. Plein Air San Angelo, or PASA, is an informal local open artists group that gathers monthly to share art and encourage artistic growth. ‘Plein Air’, is a French term for ‘in the open air’ (think Monet, Van Gogh). The PASA artists embrace this technique and seek to grow the art spirit in their community.

4. Anime San Angelo - From November 8-10 at the McNease Convention Center, anime enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of panels, merchandise, voice actor appearances, and gaming tournaments. This lively gathering is perfect for fans of Japanese pop culture (Texas Film Commission).

6. Sippin’ in San Angelo - Held on November 9, this festival offers a delightful experience for wine lovers, with tastings, food, and music. It’s a great way to enjoy the local atmosphere and sample a range of Texas wines (Discover San Angelo).

San Angelo State Park Activities - Throughout the month, San Angelo State Park offers activities like the Bison & Longhorn Self-Guided Viewing, coffee with a park ranger, nature hikes, and even a full moon hike on November 15. 8. Route 66 Art Show and Sale OPENING RECEPTION - Starting November 21

   This show celebrates the historic U.S. Highway 66, popularly known as Route 66, an agent of social transformation and a remnant of America’s past that stretched 2,400 miles across two-thirds of the continent.

   The artists will pay homage to Route 66 with paint on canvas depicting various aspects of the artery that connected East and West. Gallery guests will see depictions of the people, places, and things reminiscent of this fabled highway.
